Mutual Ministry Committee is Listening

Immanuel's Mutual Ministry Committee has had a strong focus on recognizing and affirming the good things that have happened within our congregation. This will continue. We need people to let us know about the praise, compliments and positive feedback that should be directed toward deserving individuals and groups. Likewise, it is not possible for us to consider potential problems until we are made aware of them. We want to also be effective at encouraging people who have complaints, conflict, or criticism to have their concerns heard. Then positive steps may be taken to find solutions that are acceptable to all individuals involved.

We are looking at resources, including new E.L.C.A. Information on how Mutual Ministry Committees can work and will use the ideas to develop a new mission and new guidelines for our group. By taking a strong look at our role, we plan to increase our success in helping to serve Immanuel.

Here's our first idea: Right after the 9:00 a.m. Sunday church services, one or two of our members will be available for conversation so that we can listen to you. Please come in to the Youth & Family Ministry Office to say "Hi" and let our representatives know how things are going. Remember that these conversations are always confidential, and no commendation or concern is too trivial to discuss.

Every Sunday this summer, following the church service, the MMC will provide a convenient time and place for you to visit with us. Look for the "LISTENING" location and please stop in. Talk to Delores Veloon, Bruno Lorenz, Kay Beverung, Mike Moran, Holly Hupfer, and/or Brian Pomplun. Your ideas are needed for us to fulfill our mission.
