The death of a loved one is a difficult time for family members.  The Pastor and staff of Immanuel will help you make plans for the final farewell of your loved one.  Please call the Pastor as soon as possible to plan the service.  If you have bible verses which were meaningful to your loved one or to your family and hymns that you love, please remember those and bring them along to the meeting with the Pastor.

Often the family would like a light luncheon or a coffee and dessert reception.  Please let the pastor know if that is what you would like as a family and arrangements will be made for someone to contact you.  We have a list of caterers in the community from which to choose as well as a number of people who bake and can provide cakes for the reception.

At this time of grief at the loss of a loved one and our joy in the resurrection, we at Immanuel seek to provide a caring community in which to celebrate a life now with God and to share memories.

A wedding ceremony performed in the church is a worship service where the couple being married has indicated a desire to have their commitment to each other blessed by God and witnessed by family and friends in God's house.  The wedding ceremony celebrates God's wonderful gift of love in Christ through the rites and rituals acceptable to the Lutheran tradition.  Premarital counseling is required and certification the counseling has taken place will be presented upon meeting with the pastor.  Please consult with the pastor before making arrangements for the reception to make certain the church and pastor are available on the date you are choosing.
