A Wisconsin River Trip is planned

Tuesday, July 13th – Friday, July 16th.

This is a joint trip with the youth from Faith Lutheran and

Immanuel Lutheran Church. We will depart on

Tuesday at 3:30pm and return on Friday at 1:00pm.

Phantom Ranch Bible Camp will be our outfitter. They will provide the canoes, life jackets, tents and meals. We will travel on the Wisconsin River as it flows through the south western part of our state. The river is wide with a gentle current and large sandbars and wooded islands. The sandbars are great for ultimate Frisbee, the river has good fishing, and the wooded islands make great camping areas with plenty of wood for great campfires.

The cost is $185.00 (financial assistance may be available, contact trip coordinator)

Friends are welcome!

Trip coordinators are Sheri Hoerchner/Immanuel - 377-2467

Toni Schnorr/Faith – 377-0960

If you are interested please complete the form below and return it by June 21st along with a $50.00 deposit (check made out to Faith or Immanuel) to the Church office. (Immanuel will try to fundraise the remainder.)

A Journey of Faith

Baptism and Worship, Sunday School and VBS, Confirmation/Affirmation of Baptism, lifelong attendance in Worship and reading of Scripture, and living a Christ-centered life in service to God's people!  This is a typical (but not only) sequential journey of faith development in the Lutheran tradition.

An important part of the journey of faith for young person's before they affirm their baptism is education in what it means to be a Lutheran Christian.  We look at God's activity of love since the beginning of creation--bringing together the bits and pieces learned over time into a whole picture of that love.  We talk about what it means to be a person graced by God in and through Jesus Christ.  We learn about how to live a life caring for the poor, the lost and the lonely.  We practice forgiveness and service to those in need.

The classes take place over a two year period of time, September through May.  The pastor teaches the course with assistance from lay members.  Any youth in 7th or 8th grade is welcome to be part of the classes with their friends.  Membership at Immanuel is not a requirement to attend confirmation classes.  Parents are always welcome to observe the classes.

We are a congregation which has been graced by God's incredible love.  All are welcome to worship and to receive the Lord's Supper.  If you have questions, please call the church and ask to speak to the pastor.

During the school year, children in 3K through 5th grade have the opportunity to participate in Sunday School.  Activities are held each Sunday from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.  Our curriculum is based upon the rotation model that addresses each child's individual learning style.  This means that the students explore one bible lesson for four weeks and rotate through four different volunteer-led activities tailored to their age group.

These activities may include:
