About Immanuel

People of all ages and life stages worship, grow in faith, and serve together here at Immanuel.  God’s love, revealed in Jesus, helps us to love and care for one another.

Embracing Our History

  • A Welcoming, Historic Church – Our beautiful sanctuary features stunning stained-glass windows, a high cathedral-like ceiling, and plenty of natural light, creating a peaceful and inspiring place for worship.

  • Traditional and Liturgical Worship – Our services follow a recognizable format, including music, scripture readings, responses, a gospel reading, a sermon, prayers, and communion. Many former Catholics have found a home here—without the Latin!  We offer weekly, alternating traditional, inspiration services and praise services.  Please see our calendar for the schedule.

  • A Strong Sense of Community – Whether through worship, fellowship, community events, or charitable work, our church fosters deep and lasting friendships. Many find Immanuel to be a source of lifelong support and belonging.  Whether you’re visiting for the first time or belong to one of our multi-generational families, we’re so glad you’re here.

  • Open Communion – We welcome all baptized Christians, regardless of denomination, to receive communion. Offered at every service, communion can be received at the front of the church or in the pews using pre-filled communion cup and wafer sets. Gluten-free wafers and apple juice are also available.

Growing in the Present

  • A Place of Belonging – We are not just welcoming but fully accepting of all people—regardless of race, ethnic background, or orientation. Our mission is to love others as Jesus did—with kindness, grace, and without judgment.

  • Gender Equality in Leadership – Our authentic and inspiring female pastor makes scripture relevant for today. She has a reflective, peaceful, and mindful approach to faith, sharing uplifting messages of grace-filled compassion that encourage, inspire, and motivate.

  • Understanding Busy Lives – We get how busy life can be, especially for young families with hectic schedules.  Come when you can—without guilt or judgement. Whether you attend weekly or occasionally, you will always be welcomed with a smile, like an old friend, we’ll always be happy to see you.

  • Sunday School for Children – We offer Sunday School during the worship service on Praise Service Sundays.  Children (ages 3 through 5th grade) can learn about their faith, Jesus and the Bible in an age-appropriate way, all while allowing their grown-ups the opportunity to actually listen to the readings and the sermon.

  • Family-Friendly Activities – We offer many family-friendly ministries, including hosting Cedarburg Bingo on the second Saturday of each month—an opportunity for all generations in our community to connect and have fun together while raising money to support our church as well as other community non-profit partners. Bring your friends and family! Kids are welcome to play alongside a related grown-up.
